Another grim day in Gaza. Since dawn on Sunday, at least 57 Palestinians have been killed, including 38 people reportedly seeking humanitarian aid. Israeli forces launched heavy bombardments on Gaza City, striking multiple neighbourhoods—Zeitoun, Sabra, Al Tuffah, and Rimal. One of the attacks hit a school sheltering forcibly displaced civilians.
Further south, airstrikes targeted residential homes in Khan Younis. In Al Mawasi, an area designated as a “safe zone,” tents housing displaced families were also struck, according to local authorities. The mounting civilian toll highlights the perilous collapse of any meaningful distinction between combatants and non-combatants.
With Gaza’s infrastructure in ruins and displacement nearing total, the humanitarian crisis deepens by the day. The stated military objectives of the Israeli campaign remain unchanged, but the human cost continues to climb.
