World Cancer Day

Published on: 3 February, 2021

This World Cancer Day, it is vital we remember our moral responsibility to ensure health practitioners on the frontline of delivering care in low resource settings are adequately equipped and have access to the latest knowledge, data, and research to improve critical care and prevent mortality.

On 04 February 2021, The Defeat-NCD Partnership is organising a “Cancer Up to Date: Cancer Care Advances in a COVID-19 Reality” event, which will give health professionals from all over the world an opportunity to exchange knowledge and advances related to cancer care, especially during the current COVID-19 pandemic. Eminent scientists will share the latest relevant peer-reviewed research to learn about the latest technological breakthroughs, treatment guidelines and protocols, and emerging trends in cancer care. Senior practitioners from around the world will provide practical insights from their own experiences, bringing this vital information to those who need it and supporting The Defeat-NCD Partnership’s efforts to reduce premature mortality from non-communicable diseases by one-third by 2030.

We have the pleasure to invite you to participate in this event, share your experience, and get access to the latest up to date information. In case you wish to submit questions about any topic to our speakers as per the attached agenda or would like to share your personal experiences and contribute to any of the sessions, please get in touch with us in advance by emailing Dr. Layal Barjoud: layal.barjoud@defeat-ncd.org.
