Fighting has continued in Sudan between the army and the Rapid Support Forces (RSF).
At least 23 people were killed in an air strike in the capital Khartoum on Sunday.
With both sides exchanging artillery fire, often in heavily populated areas, the risk to civilians from unexploded ordnances (UXO) is high.
In Omdurman, the Ministry of Health reports that over two dozen people have died this year from UXO-related injuries, primarily due to a lack of awareness about the dangers.
While the government claims to have removed more than 38,000 unexploded ordnances from Khartoum’s twin city, some areas remain uncleared, continuing to put civilians at risk.
