Civil rights activists in the U.S. say a ‘tidal wave of voter suppression laws are being proposed in more than 40 States. At least 250 bills, mostly put forward by Republicans, could restrict voter access following unfounded allegations of election fraud. Critics say it’s a systematic attempt to make it harder for minorities to cast their ballot.
