A large protest has been called in Peshawar where locals are condemning the bombing of a mosque inside a security compound that left more than 100 dead and scores wounded.

Locals claim that the law-and-order situation in the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province has worsened, and they want justice for the victims, mostly police personnel, of terrorist attacks.

On February 1st, some police officers in their uniform had held a protest march to demand an independent investigation into the blast.

The police say they were protesting against the ‘system’ and they want peace.

Pakistan’s Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif addressed a security committee meeting in Peshawar on Friday and called for national unity against such attacks and invited former Prime Minister Imran Khan for a multi-party committee meeting scheduled on February 7th …
