One of Iraq’s religious minority groups which has survived for centuries is now rapidly disappearing. Mandaeans, or Sabians as they’re known in Arabic, say security issues have scattered members of the gnostic religion. Baptism is an important ritual for this little-known faith but their monotheistic beliefs are different from the world’s major religions.
