In Bulengo, one of the newest camps in DRC, around 400 people with disabilities have organized a group and elected representatives.
The camp is built on ground made of broken volcanic rocks, and heavy rains almost daily leave the ground muddy and wet, making it inhospitable and sometimes impassable for people using crutches or wheelchairs.
They say they struggle to access the few services available, including the distribution of food and medical facilities.
