There’s been more fighting between armed groups in the East of Democratic Republic of Congo with the military saying it’s waiting for assistance from troops from South Africa, Malawi and Tanzania.
At the weekend, the head of the UN peacekeeping mission which has helped in the fight against rebels for more than two decades says it’ll completely withdraw from the country by December.
There’s been a resurgence of the M23 armed group in North Kivu, forcing up to 1M people to flee their homes.
