The UK releases a report on inequality which was promised at the height of BLM protests in 2020. Critics say that numerous inquiries have been completed before but little has been done.

The fact that Bristol was once the centre of the UK slave trade hasn’t helped tensions – with streets, parks, and statues built in honour of the city’s slavers. Local activists and authorities have tired of waiting for the national government to act and have taken matters into their own hands.
