UN High Commissioner for Human Rights Michelle Bachelet said on Tuesday that aid workers are still not being given full access to Ethiopia’s conflict-ridden Tigray region despite an agreement with Addis Ababa.
Ethiopia is offering a 10 million birr ($260,000) reward to anyone with information on the location of fugitive leaders of the rebellious force in the northern region of Tigray, the government said on Friday.
Hundreds have been killed and around 1M displaced since the offensive began November 4, including more than 50,000 who have fled into Sudan.
The government so far has refused regional calls for negotiation.
