More than two thousand unaccompanied children are stuck in overcrowded camps after making the perilous journey from West Africa to the Canary Islands in the last two months.
Save the Children says it has concern for their mental well-being.
Some of the children are asylum seekers escaping conflict in the Sahel region.
They’re among the twelve thousand migrants who’ve landed on Spanish soil since the beginning of October.
In 2019, by comparison, 1,500 people made the crossing.
