The UN Flag in front of UNHQ have been lowered at half-mast to pay tribute to UNRWA colleagues who have lost their lives in Gaza.

101 UNRWA staff have been killed in the war, “the highest number of UN personnel killed in a conflict in the history of the organization” according to OCHA.

UN observed Global Moment of Silence for UNRWA Deaths.

The Secretary-General is at the ECOSOC Chamber where he observed a minute of silence.

He was joined by more than 130 Resident Coordinators, who are in New York to attend the annual global meetings.

All UN offices around the world observed a minute of silence at the same time.

Conference on the Establishment of a Middle East Zone Free of nuclear weapons and other Weapons of Mass Destruction will take place.

The fourth annual session of the Conference on the Establishment of a Middle East Zone Free of nuclear weapons and Other Weapons of Mass Destruction will be held between 13 and 17 November at the United Nations Headquarters in New York.
