This declaration follows a recent appeal by U.S. President Donald Trump, who urged Hamas to free all twenty hostages in their custody. Concurrently, Hamas affirmed that it remains awaiting a response from Israel regarding a ceasefire proposal brokered by Qatari and Egyptian intermediaries.

In response, Israel dismissed Hamas’s statement as mere rhetoric, branding it as “more spin” devoid of any substantive innovation in the ongoing conflict.
