Sudan/What the U.S. special envoy can do?

The U.S. special envoy to Sudan, Tom Perriello, will visit a number of countries in Africa and the Middle East from March 11-25, the State Department said Saturday.
It said the trip will demonstrate “the priority the Administration places on ending the Sudan conflict, meeting the immediate and dire humanitarian needs of the Sudanese people, and charting a path toward civilian, democratic government.”
Perriello will visit Uganda, Ethiopia, Djibouti, Kenya, Egypt, Saudi Arabia, and the UAE.
