Women in Pakistan march across most cities to demand an end to patriarchal violence, the increased representation of women at all levels of decision-making, a reduction in the defence budget, and increased allocations for health and education.

In Paris, Demonstration will take place in Republic Square. The main theme this year is a call for more rights for women internationally in countries where they don’t have many. Macron will lead a «National Tribute» to women’s rights activist lawyer Gisèle Halimi who died in 2020. Halimi fought for women’s rights and was a strong critic of French colonial policies.
In Washington, First Lady Jill Biden and Secretary of State Antony Blinken host the annual ceremony recognizing women who have shown courage and leadership in advocating women’s issues around the globe. This is the first time the ceremony has been held at the White House.
In Stockholm, there will be a protest to mark international women’s day.
