The office of the Israeli Prime Minister has confirmed that the Israeli army has received, through the Red Cross, the coffin of a missing captive inside Gaza, the 13th to be returned since the start of a US-brokered ceasefire.

It is believed that the bodies of 15 other captives remain in Gaza, with Hamas attempting to locate them in the ruins after two years of Israeli bombardment.

The Israeli army has published a video that shows bulldozers towing yellow blocks into place to mark out the line; its forces have withdrawn to inside the Gaza Strip.

The United Nations is “concerned by all acts of violence in Gaza”, spokesperson Stephane Dujarric has said, after the Israeli attacks threatened to wreck the ceasefire deal.

Israel has killed at least 97 Palestinians and wounded 230 since the start of the ceasefire and violated the truce agreement 80 times, the Gaza Government Media Office says.
