Sudan’s government has ordered the re-opening of schools in states not affected by the fighting between the army and the paramilitary Rapid Support Forces.
Many schools have been turned into displacement centers for those fleeing the conflict and that’s resulted in the number of out-of-school children this year rising from 7 million to more than 13 million, that equates to more than half of school-aged children are being deprived an education.
