More heavy rains and flooding are forecast across Sudan in coming days, with the ongoing fighting hampering aid efforts.
Roads also have been damaged, some of them washed away.
The floods have displaced more than 21,000 people since the start of July and killed at least 32 others, according to the Ministry of Health. Areas under RSF control also are affected, including West Darfur.
Its capital El Geneina – a city of more than 500,000 before the war – has been declared a disaster zone.
Sudan’s Meteorological Authority predicts “very heavy” rain and winds across the country until August 14th.
