Rohingya refugees are preparing to mark the fifth anniversary on Thursday, August 25th, of their exodus into Bangladesh from
Myanmar.
Nearly 740,000 Muslim-majority Rohingya fled after Myanmar’s armed forces launched a crackdown following attacks on security posts.
They’re still kept behind barbed wire at Cox’s Bazar, under increasingly harsh conditions as Dhaka presses them to go home.
Freedom of movement is limited, even to aid agencies.
