17 Filipinos evacuated from Israel are set to return to the Philippines on Wednesday.

The Philippines Foreign Ministry updates the country on the safety of more than 200 hundred nationals inside Gaza.

The Philippines government has ordered a mandatory evacuation from Gaza, but with the crossings closed they are, mostly women and children, trapped with their Palestinian husbands/fathers.

On the other side of the barrier, 30,000 Filipino nationals remain in Israel.

Three have been killed.

Meanwhile, thousands of people in the southern Philippines have protested demanding an end to the Israeli operation against Gaza.
