The  International Organisation for Migration (IOM) https://www.iom.int/, the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) https://unfccc.int/ and leaders of Eastern and Horn of Africa are meeting from Wednesday to Friday in Kampala seeking to raise awareness about the impact of climate change driven migration and mobility in the region.

Leaders are expected to call for a more integrated approach and response to climate change, ahead of the 27th session of the Conference of the Parties (COP 27) in Sharm El-Sheikh, Egypt in November 2022.

Egypt which holds the COP27 Presidency is participating.
