Jericho’s Humanitarian crisis
Israel has closed Jericho off since January 28th/Aljazeera.
Israeli forces raided Saturday Jericho’s Aqabet Jabr refugee camp for several hours. Medical sources told Aljazeera English that 13 Palestinians were wounded, three seriously.
The Palestinian Prisoners Society said they were able to confirm that at least four Palestinians were detained in the raid, and numbers are likely to increase.
Israel has closed Jericho off since January 28th, after a drive-by shooting near the illegal Israeli settlement of Almog.
The raid comes at a time of heightened tensions, 36 Palestinians were killed by Israeli forces since 1 January, 21 of them in
Jenin.
