The International Labour Organisation’s latest look at the situation of workers in the occupied Arab territories says the situation is most dismal in Gaza.

Workers in the blockaded enclave are trapped in poverty, with few prospects for jobs, let alone opportunities for decent work.

Under these circumstances, it is easy to forget the potential that Gaza harbours, the ILO says.

With its coastal location and an educated and entrepreneurial labour force, its workers and their families could thrive, if they were permitted.
