Several factions in Gaza have announced plans for a popular march on Wednesday on the eastern border of Gaza near the cities of Khan Yunis and Rafah.
The factions say they aim to start a comprehensive program of popular activities to pressure Israel to break the siege on Gaza.
There’s a call by five Palestinian factions to demonstrate against political arrests in Ramallah.
The calls follow the latest wave of PA arrests in the past three days on the heels of protests demanding reform after the death of Nizar Banat at the hands of PA security at the end of June.
According to Reuters Israeli aircraft struck Hamas sites in Gaza late on Saturday, the military said, in an escalation of hostilities after earlier cross-border gunfire seriously injured an Israeli soldier and wounded 41 Palestinians, including two critically.
