Bogota: Former FARC Commander Rodrigo “Tomochenko” Londoño and former paramilitary commander Salvatore Mancuso, are among former Colombian armed forces leaders who will speak in an unprecedented day of testimony at Colombia’s Truth Commission.

The former leaders may present new information on the role that civilians, entrepreneurs, and the Colombian army played in the country’s civil conflict.

The Truth Commission hopes these hearings will give a better understanding with regard to what sparked some of the worst violence in the long-running conflict, and shed light on others responsible.
