Israeli forces stormed Al-Aqsa mosque several times since last week, firing stun grenades and attacking Palestinians as they gathered for Ramadan prayers.
Non-Muslims are allowed to enter the compound at certain times Sunday-Thursday, but there have been calls by extremist
parties to perform religious rites, which are not permitted – Israeli jets hit a Syrian military compound and Syrian radar systems and artillery posts on Sunday in response to rockets launched towards Israeli-controlled territory overnight, Israel’s military said.
Three rocket launches were detected from Syrian territory towards Israel, one of them crossed into Israeli territory and fell in an open area in the southern Golan Heights. No interceptors were launched.
