Beit Ijza, West Bank – Sadat Gharib’s home felt like a prison long before October 7th.
In the past month, things have only gotten worse.
The house on the edge of the Palestinian village of Beit Ijiza was encircled by an illegal Israeli settlement built on the family’s land, then came the wall… and a gate.
In 2006, the family won a case that gave them control of the gate access.
In the wake of Israel’s war on Gaza, that access has been taken away.
