David Azar is a Christian from Gaza living in Ramallah – although most of his family are still living in the strip.

He has recently returned from meeting Pope Francis in the Vatican where he organised a delegation to discuss the situation in Gaza before the Pope made his most profound criticism of Israeli actions to date.

Aljazeera English joins David to discover what he is organising over Christmas and to share some of his stories, including speaking about his family and friends in Gaza, his current activism in the occupied West Bank and some harrowing stories including being on the phone to his friend in Gaza who was shot and passed away during the call.
