The first batch of vaccines has arrived in Kinshasa and the government is rolling out a mass vaccination campaign in the most affected areas this week.

Authorities say more than $10 million dollars has been allocated to take the vaccines to remote areas where Mpox is spreading.

It’s estimated that 3.5 million doses will be needed.

There are more than 16,000 cases of MPOX and 500 deaths reported across the country.
