Protesters in Kenya are expected to rally outside the police headquarters in Nairobi, to denounce police violence and to protest a new finance bill introducing a string of tax hikes.
Thousands took to the streets on Tuesday across the country in opposition to the new finance bill.
Protesters stormed parliament buildings in Nairobi, where MPs voted for the bill on Tuesday, Kenya’s President William Ruto has 14 days to sign the bill into law or reject it.
Local media reported several people have been shot and dozens arrested on Tuesday.
Wednesday is day 6 of ‘7 days of rage’ called for by Kenyan youths known as Gen Z to protest the bill.
