Afghanistan is facing significant challenges in its healthcare system because of the ongoing conflict and political instability.

These challenges including a lack of infrastructure, shortage of healthcare professionals, limited availability of essential medical supplies, and difficulties in reaching remote and conflict-affected areas.

Kunar province in the eastern Afghanistan suffers from limited infrastructure, including a lack of well-equipped hospitals, clinics and health centers, as many areas in Kunar have inadequate road networks.

There is also a shortage of healthcare professionals, including doctors and nurses as many qualified professionals prefer to work in urban areas or outside the country due to security concerns and limited opportunities for professional growth.

International organizations, NGOs, and humanitarian agencies have been working to provide healthcare services and support in Afghanistan, especially in underserved regions.

They aim to improve healthcare infrastructure, train and equip healthcare workers, and ensure the availability of essential medications and supplies.
