The UN says it’s struggling to deliver aid to hundreds of thousands of Sudanese refugees who’ve crossed from Darfur into Chad.
It says the rainy season is making the difficult journey more challenging as roads are flooded. More than one million people have fled Sudan since the fighting began in April.
About 418,000 have sought refuge in neighbouring Chad.
Most are women and children, most heading to Adre (just across the border from West Darfur).
Rape and sexual assault have become widespread in Sudan as the army and paramilitary Rapid Support Forces battle for control.
That’s according to the UN, which says sexual violence is being used as a weapon of war.
More than 130 cases have been reported, but rights activists say the actual number is much higher.
