Forces of Freedom and Change FFC, the main Sudanese opposition rejected a new military stance.

“This offer is an attempt to cheat and win time by the military,” Omer Aldigir a member of the FFC coalition, told a press conference in the capital Khartoum on Tuesday.

The Head of the Transitional Sovereign Council, Army Commander Abdel-Fattah al-Burhan, says the military will no longer take part in talks with the opposition, calling on politicians and civilian groups to continue the dialogue.

Some roads are blocked by a growing sit-in protest movement against the junta government.

Protesters have called for a public disobedience movement and strike.

Abdel-Fattah al-Burhan said the military would step down and the Sovereign Council would be dissolved once a transitional government is formed.
9 people were killed during protests on Jun 30, and more than 100 killed since the military took over in 2021
