Nationwide protests took place across India on Tuesday against the new farm laws. Farmers from various states held a huge tractor rally in Delhi.

At least, 100,000 tractors participated according to protest leaders.

The farmers have rejected the government’s proposal to delay the law for 18 months and have demanded the complete withdrawal of the farm laws.

India celebrates JAN 26 as Republic Day. Modi was expected to attend events in Delhi including a military parade.
