In the occupied West Bank, Israeli forces conducted aggressive operations overnight in Qalqilya city and surrounding areas, including Kafr Saba, Sufin, al-Fath Mosque, and al-Maslakh, deploying troops and firing stun grenades, according to Palestinian news agency Wafa.

Meanwhile, Israel’s Settlement Minister, Orit Strook, declared that the government should initiate formal sovereignty over the West Bank during the Jewish month of Elul, which has just commenced—a move fraught with political and legal ramifications.

Bulldozers, escorted by the Israeli military, have razed over 0.6 square kilometres of land in the village of al-Mughayyir, uprooting approximately 10,000 olive trees. The operation aims to link several illegal farming settlements, justified by authorities on vague security grounds.

Violence in the West Bank has claimed the lives of 1,031 Palestinians, including 210 children, underscoring the persistent toll of the ongoing conflict and occupation.
