In the occupied West Bank, a 67-year-old man from Dheisheh refugee camp died of health complications one week after release from administrative detention, the Palestinian Prisoners’ Club reported, a case attributed to alleged medical neglect in custody and post release.

Settler attacks on Monday in Khirbet al Marajem, Masafer Yatta, terrorised residents and children, contributing to a climate of impunity and fear.

Near Qalqilya the Palestinian Red Crescent reported a man wounded by live fire at a checkpoint, while other local reports say a worker attempting to reach employment in Israel was reportedly shot near the separation wall.

Politically, Israeli officials rejected use of Palestinian Authority insignia in proposed Gaza administrative arrangements, with the Prime Minister’s Office stating the logo presented differed from that published, and announcing the PA will not be a partner in Gaza administration, a stance that complicates civilian governance and oversight in occupied territory.

The combination of administrative detention practices, settler violence and restricted mobility intensifies rights pressures on a vulnerable population.
