At least six people have been killed in forest fires along Turkey’s Mediterranean and Aegean coasts, including a massive fire in southern Turkey around the town of Manavgat – just over 70 kilometers from Antalya. Hot weather and strong winds have made the blazes worse. Turkish President Erdogan declared regions impacted by wildfires as “disaster areas”. The cities included are Antalya, Mugla, Mersin, Adana, and Osmaniye.
