Over the course of Wednesday night into Thursday morning, a series of strikes struck tent encampments sheltering displaced Palestinians in Gaza City, leaving scores dead, including several children. The assaults, occurring across multiple sectors of the city, underscore the relentless toll exacted upon civilians as the conflict grinds on.

According to local health authorities, 73 Palestinians were killed across the Gaza Strip since dawn on Wednesday, with 43 of those deaths concentrated in Gaza City alone. Among the dead were 16 individuals reportedly targeted while seeking humanitarian aid.

In a separate but no less devastating statistic, the Palestinian Health Ministry announced that 13 individuals, among them three children, had died within 24 hours on Wednesday due to starvation and malnutrition. These deaths bring the total number of fatalities attributed to hunger-related causes since the outset of the crisis to 361, including 130 children.

Taken together, the figures cast a grim light on a humanitarian catastrophe deepening by the hour, where the convergence of armed violence and systemic deprivation renders even the most basic conditions for survival perilously scarce.
