Israel has announced that its forces have crossed the border into Lebanon, conducting what it describes as ‘limited and targeted raids’ on Hezbollah military bases.

However, a Hezbollah spokesperson told Al Jazeera that these reports are false, though the group remains prepared to confront Israeli forces.

Meanwhile, today marks the third and final day of mourning for Hezbollah’s assassinated leader, Hassan Nasrallah.

In other developments, the Iranian President has arrived in Qatar to attend the 3rd Asia Cooperation Dialogue (ACD) Summit, taking place from October 2- to October 3.
