The hearing of an appeal by leading Palestinian human rights organisation Al Haq and nine Palestinian and Dutch organisations, challenging a lower court decision last year to throw their case out.

The groups are demanding the Dutch government stop being complicit in Israel’s genocide by stopping handing out licences for arms exports to Israel, as well as halting all existing licenses.

They also want them to end trade relations with illegal settlements in the Occupied West Bank.

In DEC 2024, The Hague District Court acknowledged that the Dutch state has obligations under international law; but declined to enforce them.
