As of today, March 12, 2025, the West Bank has been enduring the relentless impacts of Israel’s military operations in the Jenin area. Wednesday marks the 51st day of Israeli airstrikes, ground assaults, and incursions into the city of Jenin and its adjacent refugee camp. This prolonged campaign has left a trail of destruction, suffering, and humanitarian crises in its wake.

Since the beginning of these attacks, at least 30 people have lost their lives, with dozens more injured. Many of the wounded are in critical condition, and the region’s hospitals are overwhelmed with casualties. The scale of the assault has also resulted in the mass displacement of almost the entire population of the Jenin refugee camp. Families have been forced to flee their homes, seeking refuge wherever they can find safety.

In addition to the human toll, the destruction of infrastructure has been catastrophic. Reports indicate that approximately 500 homes and essential facilities, including schools, clinics, and shops, have been destroyed or severely damaged. These buildings were not just structures; they were the foundation of daily life for thousands of Palestinians who had already lived in difficult circumstances within the camp.

As the attacks continue, the humanitarian situation grows increasingly dire. The loss of homes and critical infrastructure has left many without access to basic needs such as food, water, and healthcare. The international community has been called upon to intervene, but so far, the suffering in Jenin has largely gone unnoticed by the global powers.

In the midst of this ongoing crisis, the people of Jenin and its refugee camp find themselves in an uncertain and perilous situation. While the international community remains largely silent, the humanitarian crisis continues to escalate, leaving the residents of Jenin with few options and fewer resources.
