Today, Thursday. United Nations Security Council will be having a briefing which will be followed by consultations on the Middle East, expected to focus on Israel/Palestine.

Israel police have arrested one of the Shireen Abu Akleh’s pallbearers beaten by officers at her funeral in Occupied East Jerusalem on MAY 13th, the Palestinian detained man’s lawyer said on Wednesday.

According to Reuters, Israeli police said that Amro Abu Khdair has been arrested, but his arrest was not related to Shireen Abu Akleh’s funeral.

On May 11th, Shireen Abu Akleh was shot in the head by Israeli forces in Jenin in the Occupied West Bank

She was shot even though she was visibly identifiable as a journalist.

Some Media houses and members of the international community have condemned Abu Akleh’s killing and continue to call for an investigation.
