two days of protests are planned in support of Opposition leader Ousmane Sonko.

He’s facing a defamation hearing in court on Thursday brought by the Senegalese tourism minister after Sonko called out the
Minister for allegedly mismanaging funds.

If sentenced, Sonko would be barred from running in next year’s presidential election.

The protests have been banned by the government.
