Two people were killed and 92 injured by Israeli gunfire near an aid distribution centre in the central Gaza Strip in the early hours of Tuesday. Israeli forces have repeatedly attacked people waiting for food near their distribution sites. In less than two weeks, at least 130 people have been killed and nearly 1,000 wounded in such incidents.
Meanwhile, Israeli shelling targeted a camp housing displaced Palestinians in the Katiba area, west of Gaza City, also in the early hours of Tuesday. At least three paramedics were killed during the evacuation of the wounded from the Al-Tuffah neighbourhood, east of Gaza City. Journalist Moamen Abu Al Ouf was also killed in the same attack.
This brings the total number of journalists killed since the start of the war to 227, underscoring the severe risks faced by those covering the conflict.
