The weekend brought a cascade of demonstrations in solidarity with Palestinians, underscoring the global resonance of the war in Gaza.

In Istanbul, the Support Palestine Platform led a march from the Ayasofya Mosque to Eminönü Square, drawing sizeable weekend crowds. In Amsterdam, the “Red Line” campaign stages its third rally in as many months, a reminder of the issue’s salience as the Netherlands heads into an election.

Rome’s streets filled with hundreds of thousands, the third such gathering in as many days. Spain, too, witnessed mass mobilisations in Madrid and Barcelona. London saw confrontations between demonstrators and police, with more than 400 arrests reported.

Across the Atlantic, American cities host marches demanding a halt to U.S. military aid and an arms embargo on Israel. In Brazil, campaigners built a memorial linking the anguish of children in Gaza and Israel alike, a small symbol of the way the conflict’s human toll is being stitched into global consciousness.
