A new round of indirect talks between Israel and Hamas began on Saturday in Qatar. According to a statement from the Israeli Prime Minister’s office, seen by Israeli media on Sunday, Israel is reportedly negotiating for a two-month truce or an end to the war, with the condition that Hamas disarms and is exiled.

However, Hamas spokesperson Sami Abu Zuhri denied reports that the group had agreed to release nine Israeli prisoners in exchange for the truce. Abu Zuhri stated that Hamas would not hand over Israeli prisoners as long as Israel continues its aggression against Gaza.
