Monday is the last day of the farmers’ protest near the Indian parliament in New Delhi.
Only 200 farmers have been allowed to gather near the parliament since the monsoon session began on July 19.
Farmer organisations and the government have failed to reach a consensus on the recent farm bills, and the farmers have continued their protests for more than 8 months.
The Indian government has held eleven rounds of talks with farmers’ unions and recently appealed to them to return to the negotiating table.
But thousands of farmers say that the laws endanger their livelihoods.
