The Israeli District Court started hearing witnesses in the ongoing corruption trial of PM Benjamin Netanyahu. The charges against Netanyahu are divided into three separate cases. The most serious of which is the “Bezeq” case, Netanyahu is accused of bribery, breach of trust, and fraud for allegedly negotiating with telecoms mogul Shaoul Elovitch favorable coverage in exchange for policies benefiting Mr. Elovitch ” Bezeq” telecom company.

Netanyahu has denied all charges and pleaded not guilty. Netanyahu only appeared at the court only at the opening of the session on Monday. He would not be in court for the rest of day when the witnesses present their claims.
