The Military Court in Beirut holds a session Wednesday to try 32 protesters from Tripoli on terrorism charges. This is the first time terrorism charges have been leveled against protestors in Lebanon. Anti-Government protestors planned to hold a sit-in in front of the court.
On Monday Lebanon’s Military court charged 35 protestors from the northern city of Tripoli with terrorism and theft. Tens of protestors were detained last month during violent protests in Tripoli over deteriorating living conditions.
