Palestinians held demonstrations on Wednesday to mark Land Day.
The day marks the Israeli announcement that it would expropriate Arab land in several parts of Palestine in 1967.
The population of Israel’s Arabs is around 20 percent of the Jewish state’s population.
Reuters reported that military forces guarding the border between Israel and the Gaza Strip used live ammunition to disperse demonstrators who came close to the fence. A Gaza hospital source said nobody was hurt.
